Today, my last day in uniform, we will examine a few articles before I close up my office for good. Since my home computer is on the fritz, it might be a while before I can make another post, hopefully no more than a week. Today's articles include Project Pigeon, Chiune Sugihara, the Toba Event compared to flood myths and proto-human language, the WWII landing against a nonexistent enemy force, Liebeck v. McDonald's Restaurants, Greek Law 3037/2002, and MY Ady Gil.

Today we will look at the Arab version of War of the Worlds, a chicken that lived for years after being beheaded, the English custom of selling a wife for divorce, the war over the toll bridge at Red River, using pigeons for aerial photography, and eating mucus.

April Fools' Day!

Today is April Fools' Day, and the tradition is to play pranks and jokes. Instead of coming up with my own prank, which I know will never compare well to that of others, I figured I would just look closely at such articles instead.

Today, I have quite a number of entries... don't really know why, except that I wrote down some cool stuff I saw on the History and Discovery Channels this weekend, and wanted to share. We will look at the dragon tree, lyrebird, barreleye, Georgi Markov, John Aaron, some funny computer codes, the biggest weapon in the Doom series, collective nouns for birds, the Outer Space Treaty, and humans who use sonar.
